Approximately one month after their wedding, on the night of December 7, between 2:30 to 3:00 AM, Vivek Bindra and his mother Prabha were involved in a dispute.
During the argument, Yānikā tried to intervene, but Vivek allegedly locked her in a room. Reportedly, Vivek verbally abused and physically assaulted Yānikā during this time, resulting in injuries to her entire body, including wounds on her head and impaired hearing in her ears. The complaint also states that Vivek got so enraged that he broke Yānikā’s mobile phone.

As a result of the alleged assault, Yānikā was treated in a private hospital in Delhi for several days. The complainant, Yānikā’s brother, claims that his sister has been severely affected both physically and mentally and has not been speaking to anyone since the incident.
